Jerry Mellum- Senior Planning Analyst, Hennepin County

Jerry Mellum is a Senior Planning Analyst with Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department in Hennepin County. He received the 2015 Service Award from the MN Dept of Human Services and MN Board on Aging. Jerry has worked with people with disabilities for over 30 years. He has worked in group homes, vocational programs, programs for people with challenging behavior and was an advocate at Arc MN for 8 years. Currently, he provides a number of community trainings on county services as well as working directly with consumer directed programs like Consumer Directed Community Support and Consumer Support Grant. He consults on housing and service options for people with disabilities and their employment. Jerry is certified as a Person-Centered Thinking trainer from the Learning Community on Person-Centered Practices and has provided this training to county staff for over five years.
